The way I work is rooted in a belief that creating a warm, trusting environment enables people to open up - whether that be in a counselling session, a coaching conversation or a meeting in the workplace.
Counselling
Counselling can help you to process difficult feelings and bottled up emotions that are affecting your overall health and wellbeing. It offers a space for you to explore and understand.
Life Coaching
Coaching can have a positive impact on the way you feel and show up in the world. It gives you some breathing space and offers a chance to step back, reflect and take charge of your life.

Find out more about me.
I have experienced, first-hand, how the stresses of life can build-up and impact. I know what it’s like to reach out for help, and when I did that, things changed for me, and after years of working in business, in 2014 I decided to train as a counsellor. Something had shifted and although it was a big decision, it was the right one for me and I have not looked back. I love supporting people on their own journey of self-awareness and insight; this is a big motivation for me.
I work in a person-centred way, both when I am counselling and coaching people. I do then draw on different modalities and tools to meet the needs of my clients - such as creative work, CBT and mindfulness. As a coach, I am also able to be more flexible in my approach to working with people and in the workplace.
I have experience of working with adults and young people in different settings. I am employed as a part-time counsellor at a local Sixth Form College and have been working with 16-18 year old young people since 2017. I love working with this age group, and, as part of a well-established and experienced team at the College, I’ve gained extensive experience of working with a broad range of areas that trouble young people. For the past two years I have also been Mental Health Lead at the College.
I have also supported adult clients in the workplace facing different professional and personal challenges through a local employee assistance programme, worked as an Associate Counsellor for a national charity which provides free counselling services and support for the prevention and treatment of problem gambling, worked in a GP practice offering counselling services to referred patients, and worked with a cancer support charity, offering counselling to people affected by a cancer diagnosis - patients, family members, carers and the bereaved.
